Hello!
My name is Ruben Zakine and I am currently a postdoctoral fellow at the LadHyX Ecole polytechnique and at the Chair of Econophysics & Complex Systems.
I am working with Michael Benzaquen and Jean-Philippe Bouchaud
on questions related to economics, tackled with the powerful tools of statistical physics!
I have a strong interest in nonequilibrium systems at large, active matter systems, hydrodynamics, biophysical systems, and soft matter.
From 2019 to 2022, I was a postdoctoral associate at NYU, jointly appointed at the Courant Institute and at the Center for Soft Matter Research,
working with Eric Vanden-Eijnden
and Jasna Brujic.
I did my PhD at MSC laboratory, Paris Diderot, under the supervision of
Jean-Baptiste Fournier
and Frédéric van Wijland.
Prior to this, I studied high energy physics at Ecole polytechnique and quantum mechanics at Ecole Normale Supérieure.
In Spring 2015, I also worked at Institut d'Astrophysique de Paris, under the supervision of Martin Lemoine.
